At The Face Place Acne + Esthetics we specialize in treating + clearing acne with corrective facials backed by a holistic and scientific approach. We were awarded Top 10 Spas in Oakland County in 2025 and believe it’s because of our unique passion for acne, as well as the empathy and connection we have with our clients. Watching our client’s confidence grow as we work together to improve their skin concerns and hit their goals is incredibly rewarding. Our mission is that every person that steps into our treatment room will leave as their most confident self. We all deserve to feel good in our own skin. Our facials are grouped by time and are fully customizable for all skin types. If you want to combine more than 1 specialty treatment in your facial such as dermaplaning, oxygen treatment, carboxy, nano-infusion, or the firming peptide mask you need to book a 90-minute facial so that we have adequate time. Dermaplaning takes 20-30 minutes so we recommend booking a 90-minute facial if you'd like to include dermaplaning. Peppermint scalp massage and hand treatments can be added on for $10 each

I’m Korissa Shade, a licensed esthetician at The Face Place Acne + Esthetics in Walled Lake, MI. Specializing in results-driven yet relaxing facials and acne care/clearing, I’m here to help my clients achieve healthy, clear, radiant skin they can love! Upon graduating my Esthetics program with academic honors and working in the field, I decided to specialize in acne at the Face Place, however I also I hold certifications in chemical peels, dermaplaning, and emergency medicine. My approach blends science-backed treatments with holistic principles—because truly healthy skin starts from within and thrives with whole-body wellness. I’m passionate about building genuine connections and partnering with clients through the ups and downs of their unique skincare journey. I look forward to creating personalized plans that deliver real results and help you fall in love with your skin.
Sophia Sarti
Hi I’m Sophia, the owner and licensed esthetician + acne specialist at The Face Place. I’ve been a licensed esthetician since 2019 and have been a certified acne specialist since 2021. I started this business and created our skincare line - Sarti Skincare because of the lack of understanding acne in the industry that resulted in people having to pick between sensitive flaky skin or acne. I myself have struggled with acne my entire preteen, teen and early adult years and was bullied for it in high school, I deeply understand the mental effects and heartache acne can put on someone. It’s my life’s purpose and passion to continue my education in acne and help those who have spent their lives struggling with acne finally get results and build trust in an esthetician to guide them.
